How much labor is involved?
Depending on the size of the system, as little as 15 minutes per day to look in and check your system and harvest your dinner.
How much space is required?
HomeGrown Starter – 5’x5′ footprint, with up to 24 plants per week.
HomeGrown Plus – 5’x10’ footprint with up to 48 plants per week.
HomeGrown Premium, 5’x10’ footprint with up to 48 plants per week plus lots of fresh & nutritious microgreens every week.
Is a subscription required?
We offer a subscription for your consumable seed, nutrient and growing medium but a subscription is never required.
Is this suitable for indoor and outdoor use?
Our HomeGrown bundles use the same systems our commercial growers use, and are designed to be used in a greenhouse. However, you may grow indoors with proper lighting and ventilation. Growing outdoors without a greenhouse is possible in some climates, but you may need a greenhouse for ideal results.
What are the ongoing costs?
The ongoing costs are minimal – seeds, growing medium and nutrients. Check out AmHydro’s subscription plan to have your consumables shipped straight to your door when you need them.
